Keep supporting records beside the transcript

Save official transcripts for dual-enrollment or outside courses, course descriptions, major work samples, test records, and a list of activities or awards. The transcript is a summary; supporting records help explain it when a school or program asks.

Check for consistency before sharing

Course names, dates, grades, and credits should match the supporting records. College Board recommends checking a transcript for errors before it is sent and notes that some colleges request mid-year and final transcripts.

Ask the receiving organization directly

A college, scholarship, school, employer, athletic organization, or agency may request additional items or a particular delivery method. Proof & Progress creates parent-prepared records and does not replace an official transcript issued by an outside school or college.
